About Trice

Atlanta-born. Storytelling built on truth, grit, and heart.

I’m Trice Tyrell Lott, an Atlanta-born author whose writing is rooted in the raw, unfiltered realities of urban life. The streets that raised me shaped my voice, and that voice is what I bring to every page.

My Story

Where I’m coming from

Atlanta is more than a place I’m from. It’s the heartbeat of my storytelling. The culture, the history, the energy, the rhythm of everyday life here, it shows up in how I write and what I choose to write about.

I didn’t come from a traditional literary background. My passion for writing started as a simple thought, something I could not shake. That thought turned into a creative calling, and the more I leaned into it, the clearer it became: I was built to tell stories.

My Writing Style

How I write

I write with authenticity first. I’m drawn to stories that feel real because real life is already intense enough. My work blends emotion, lived experience, and social commentary into narratives that reflect both the beauty and the complexity of urban culture.

Whether I’m writing fiction or biography, I want the reader to feel something. I want the story to sit with you after you close the book.

Recognition that matters

PO Boy Live has earned high praise from respected outlets, including The US Review of Books and Pacific Book Review. That recognition matters to me because I don’t write just to tell a story. I write to leave an impact.

Music is my first love

Outside of writing, music has always been my first love. I’m a writer and a recording artist, and I put that same creativity into lyrics and sound.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually into sports, writing music, catching a good movie, or reading something that pulls me in. All of it feeds the same thing: the next story.
